TSG Resolute’s die cutting experience—coupled with advanced technology and efficient processes—allows for unlimited options in converting and highly competitive pricing on all parts, large or small, high- or low-volume. Die cutting services include flat bed, rotary, and large platen head die cutting for larger parts. Our products include gaskets, seals, electrical insulators, high temperature insulation, EMI-RFI shielding, thermal management, and acoustical insulation—all across a variety of materials.

Flat Bed Cutting

The flat bed process is for moderate volume die cut parts that utilizes economical steel-rule tools. We have the ability to add adhesive in-line when using flat bed die cutting. Our presses vary in size and are suitable for a range of production, with our largest presses are belt bed and designed to cut the full web of material, all in one press.

Rotary Die Cutting

We have several rotary presses, including the Delta Mod Laser Rotary, which is the leading press on the market. For parts that require registration, multiple stage processing, in-line hole removal, printing or unique presentations, this press is most ideal and most effective for our customers.

Laser Cutting

TSG Resolute has a variety of laser cutting technology, including an engraving laser for prototyping and a 200 Watt production laser capable of cutting materials of varying thickness, using feed-through capabilities.

Oscillating Knife

The oscillating knife is an optimal tool for prototyping and production, as it works with an Autocad file and does not require tooling. The oscillating knife provides flexibility to maximize raw material yield, as it cuts the part in multiple directions, eliminating scrap.

Water Jet Cutting

Water jet cutting allows for maximal raw material yields and the process is effective for prototyping and parts production. Our water jet cuts either with either an abrasive or non-abrasive technique, allows for increased through-put by stacking raw materials, and it works from an Autocad file, which eliminates tooling.

Rewind Slitting

Our rewind slitting equipment allows for the conversion of a large roll of material into a roll that is either shorter in length or narrower in width. It is ideal for taking jumbo rolls of adhesive and converting them to smaller rolls.

Spooling

TSG Resolute has two spoolers to perform both high-volume applications and low-volume applications. Our spooling process converts multiple, shorter rolls into a single, longer rolls through splicing and travers winding.

Laminating

Our laminating equipment is used to combine materials using adhesive. The laminator is belt-fed and air-assisted to prevent stretching of materials as they are pulled through the system. The equipment applies an even distribution of head to the adhesives and applies pressure to allow the adhesive to properly bond to the substrate, a process critical to the success of the adhesive.

When a client initially contacted TSG, Inc. seeking various quotes per print using several different raw material suppliers, we quickly discovered that our customer was having serious difficulties with their original die cut adhesive gaskets. The gaskets they were using suffered many adhesive failures.

TSG Resolute was contacted by a start-up, e-commerce company in search of different sizes of foam gasket frames, with 3M adhesive on one side, to be used around the perimeter of small dry-erase boards. The gasket frames needed to be soft to the touch, but they did not need to allow.
